Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated August 18, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is incorporated into the Linnet Terms of Service ("Terms"), and governs what you may and may not create, generate, and do with the Service. Where this AUP and the Terms conflict, the Terms controls unless this AUP expressly states otherwise.

01

Purpose and scope

This AUP sets the rules for what you may create, generate, upload, store, publish, and distribute using the Linnet platform at linnetmedia.com and the Linnet application (the "Service"), operated by Caloroga Shark Media LLC ("Linnet," "we," "us," or "our").

This AUP applies to all users and to all content and activity on the Service, including: content you upload; prompts and inputs you provide; AI outputs you generate (audio, synthetic voices, images, music, scripts, and metadata); and anything you publish to third-party platforms through the Service. You are responsible for everything created or done under your account, whether by you or by any person using your account.

By using the Service you agree to this AUP. Violating it is a violation of the Terms of Service and may result in the consequences described in Section 14.

02

How we apply and enforce this policy

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, review, screen, refuse, remove, restrict, or disable any content or account where we believe in good faith that this AUP or applicable law has been or may be violated, or to protect users, the public, our distribution relationships, or Linnet. We may act on our own initiative or in response to a third-party report.

For content you upload or provide directly, we are not the publisher or speaker of that content for purposes of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and our decision not to monitor any particular content does not waive our right to act when we become aware of a violation.

For AI-generated content that the Service produces in response to your prompts, we exercise responsibility over that output through the design of our systems and the rules in this AUP. We design our systems to reduce the risk of harmful outputs and we enforce this AUP to address violations when they occur. Nothing in this section limits our right to remove, restrict, or refuse any content on the Service at our sole discretion.

We will act faster and more severely where there is risk of serious harm, illegality, or harm to a child. Child safety violations are addressed in Section 9, which is absolute and enforced without exception.

03

General prohibited conduct

You may not use the Service to:

  • violate any applicable law, regulation, or third party’s rights;
  • infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, right of publicity, or other intellectual property or proprietary right;
  • gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Service, its security, or any systems or networks connected to it;
  • introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code, or attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without authorization;
  • scrape, crawl, or harvest data or content from the Service by automated means except as we expressly permit;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or underlying models;
  • use the Service or its outputs to train, fine-tune, benchmark, or build a competing AI model or service;
  • circumvent usage limits, metering, access controls, or any technical restriction, or share, resell, or sublicense access except as your plan expressly allows;
  • misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Service to facilitate any deceptive or fraudulent scheme.

If you are employed by, contracted to, or acting on behalf of a company or individual that offers a product or service that competes, directly or indirectly, with the Service, you may not use the Service for any purpose related to that competitive activity. Prohibited competitive use includes, without limitation: evaluating the Service for competitive intelligence purposes; using outputs generated by the Service to develop, improve, or train a competing product; benchmarking the Service’s features, pricing, or outputs against a competing product; and accessing the Service under a false identity or affiliation to conceal a competitive purpose. This prohibition applies regardless of whether you access the Service through a paid plan, a free tier, or a trial. We reserve the right to terminate any account we reasonably believe is being used for competitive purposes, with or without prior notice and without refund.

04

Prohibited content

You may not use the Service to create, generate, upload, or distribute content that:

  • is unlawful or promotes or facilitates illegal activity;
  • is defamatory, or states or implies false facts about a real, identifiable person or organization;
  • harasses, bullies, threatens, or incites violence against any person or group;
  • promotes hatred or discrimination against people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected characteristic;
  • depicts or glorifies graphic violence, self-harm, or cruelty;
  • violates the privacy of others, including by publishing private or identifying information without consent;
  • infringes intellectual property or publicity rights, including using copyrighted music, recordings, or other material you do not have the right to use;
  • facilitates the sale of illegal goods or regulated goods without authorization, including illegal drugs, weapons, or counterfeit items;
  • provides instructions for creating weapons, explosives, or other items intended to cause serious harm.
05

Synthetic voices

The Service generates synthesized speech using preset synthetic voices. It does not offer user voice cloning. These rules apply to all synthetic voice use on the Service.

You may not use a synthetic voice to:

  • impersonate a real person or organization in order to deceive, defraud, or mislead;
  • create the false impression that a real person said or endorsed something they did not;
  • commit fraud or a scam, including voice-based phishing or vishing;
  • defeat or attempt to defeat voice-based authentication or identity-verification systems;
  • harass, intimidate, defame, or sexually exploit any person;
  • produce political or election content attributed to a real candidate, official, or public figure, except as expressly permitted by law and clearly disclosed as synthetic.
06

Synthetic media, likeness, and deepfakes

The Service can generate realistic synthetic audio and imagery. You may not use it to create synthetic media depicting a real, identifiable person — by voice, face, name, or likeness — where doing so:

  • is intended to deceive others into believing the depiction is authentic, to that person’s or the public’s detriment;
  • places the person in a false light, attributes false statements or conduct to them, or fabricates an event involving them presented as real;
  • creates sexual or intimate imagery or audio of a real person without their consent — non-consensual intimate imagery is strictly prohibited and unlawful in many jurisdictions;
  • exploits their name or likeness commercially or as an endorsement without rights and consent.

Disclosure obligations. Published audio is embedded with a machine-readable marker indicating it was AI-generated, applied at publication and logged. This marking is designed to assist platforms and regulators in identifying AI-generated content. It is not an absolute guarantee of detectability across all playback or processing environments. Where applicable law requires that synthetic or AI-generated content be labeled or disclosed, you are solely responsible for ensuring that your content is compliant.

07

Misinformation, deception, and political content

You may not use the Service to create or distribute:

  • content designed to deceive about a matter of public importance in a way that risks real-world harm;
  • election or political misinformation, including synthetic depictions of candidates or officials presented as authentic, or false information about voting procedures, times, or locations;
  • medical, health, or safety misinformation that could foreseeably cause physical harm;
  • fraudulent, deceptive, or manipulative schemes, fake reviews or testimonials, or impersonation of a business or government entity;
  • coordinated inauthentic behavior, fake engagement, or content intended to manipulate platform discovery algorithms.
08

Sexual and restricted content

Linnet’s positioning is craft-first and brand-safe, and its distribution platform relationships require compliance with those platforms’ content standards. We prohibit any pornographic and sexually explicit content, including without limitation, non-consensual intimate imagery of any person and any sexual content involving a minor. This prohibition is absolute and is addressed further in Section 9.

09

Child safety

This section is absolute. It is enforced without exception and without discretion.

You may not use the Service to create, generate, upload, store, request, or distribute any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers a minor, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether real, synthetic, or AI-generated. You may not use the Service to groom, solicit, or facilitate harm to a minor in any form.

Where we become aware of apparent CSAM, whether through user report, our own review, or any other means, we will: report it to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A; preserve relevant data as the law requires; terminate the account immediately; and refer the matter to law enforcement.

10

Harassment, hate, and dangerous organizations

You may not use the Service to:

  • harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate any person;
  • promote, glorify, or provide material support to terrorist or violent extremist organizations or their content;
  • promote, organize, or incite violence, or threaten harm to people or property;
  • promote or facilitate the abuse, exploitation, or endangerment of any vulnerable person.
11

Distribution platform compliance and God Mode

11.1Distribution platform compliance

Because the Service can publish your content directly to third-party platforms, you must comply with the content policies, community guidelines, and monetization rules of every platform you publish to. Those platforms set and enforce their own rules independently of ours and may reject, remove, demonetize, or restrict your content regardless of what this AUP permits.

You may not use the Service in a way that violates a distribution platform’s rules or jeopardizes our relationships or standing with those platforms, including by mass-publishing low-quality, spam, or policy-violating content. We may refuse to publish, or remove, content that does so.

11.2Automated generation

The Service can generate complete episodes from a single prompt and produce content at volume. You may not use these capabilities to:

  • mass-produce low-effort, spam, or content-farm material intended to flood directories, game discovery, or generate fraudulent advertising or streaming revenue;
  • create deceptive networks of shows or fake personas;
  • exceed, automate around, or abuse usage limits or metering controls;
  • generate content primarily to manipulate rankings, reviews, or engagement metrics.

These restrictions reflect both our rules and the policies of the platforms you publish to, several of which actively remove and penalize mass-produced AI content.

12

AI-generated content and music attribution

12.1AI-generated content, your responsibilities

The Service generates content using artificial intelligence, including scripts, synthetic voices, cover art, music, and episode metadata. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated output before publishing or distributing it. You may not use AI-generated content produced through the Service in any manner that:

  • misrepresents the content as entirely human-created in a context where that distinction is legally or ethically material, including in news content, advertising, sponsored content, or any context subject to disclosure requirements under applicable law or platform policies;
  • infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party;
  • violates any applicable law or regulation governing synthetic media, deepfakes, or AI-generated content.

12.2Music library and attribution

Tracks in the Linnet music library are sourced from our music library provider and provided under licenses permitting commercial use as of the date you select them. Where a track’s license requires attribution, Linnet generates attribution information automatically. You are responsible for including and maintaining that attribution in any content you publish or distribute. Removing, obscuring, or misrepresenting required attribution is a violation of this AUP and may constitute a breach of the underlying license.

The library’s contents may change over time. Because Creative Commons licenses are irrevocable for the version granted, content you have already published using a track remains protected under the license in effect at the time of your selection, even if that track is later removed from the library.

13

Bring-your-own-key and third-party provider rules

When you use a BYOK integration, including alternative podcast hosts and alternative AI providers, including voice and transcription providers listed at linnetmedia.com/subprocessors, you must also comply with that provider’s terms and acceptable use rules in addition to this AUP. Our permitting a feature does not relieve you of that provider’s restrictions. When you connect a BYOK integration using your own credentials, that provider receives your data as a service you have chosen, not as a Linnet-selected processor. Where our rules and a third-party provider’s rules conflict, the stricter rule governs.

14

Consequences of violation

Depending on the severity, history, and nature of the violation, we may take any of the following actions, with or without prior notice:

  • issue a warning;
  • remove, restrict, or refuse to publish specific content;
  • limit, suspend, or terminate the feature, the account, or all access to the Service;
  • retain, preserve, and disclose information where required by law or to protect against harm;
  • refer the matter to law enforcement or relevant authorities.

For egregious violations, including CSAM, credible threats of violence, fraud, or serious deepfake or impersonation abuse, we will suspend or terminate immediately without prior notice and may report to authorities without delay.

15

Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP as the Service, applicable law, and the risk landscape evolve. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the Service or by email and update the date above. Continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
